I have been working in the IT field for approximately 8 years.  The most common thing you will hear me say is ‘I don’t know, but I’ll find out.’ I enjoy learning absolutely anything, but enjoy teaching that information even more. I enjoy adapting to changing situations. I enjoy playing guitar.  Most importantly, I enjoy the sense that I have made someone else’s day easier. 

What's My Biggest Project?

I was part of a multi-year project for a production plant employing ~1000 end users.  I was part of a team involving one partner and a supervisor, as well as remote colleagues that we co-ordinated with daily.  Our role was to migrate thousands of machines from the legacy domain to the acquisition domain, just the three of us.  This included custom scripting to map drives from the old AD to the new domain logins.  It was a mess.  It was fun.

End User Support

With a background in English Literature, I am in a unique position to put my technical skills to use.  Explaining a solution to an End User is just as important as the solution.  My technical skills couple with my communication skills to help me stand out as a Friendly Neighbourhood Tech Guy.

Web Development

In addition to this beautiful site of mine, I helped create BigCoveFoods.com which included migrating to a new platform, redesigning the site, importing products, and creating a new inventory tracking system.
In addition, I updated BrantSteel.com to a mobile friendly design.

2017-2020
  • ComDev was acquired by Honeywell; position involved migrating ComDev to Honeywell Position required CGP clearance for export control compliance.
  • Worked independently as 1 of only 2 technicians at the location, and as part of a ~15 member team across
  • Top team performer – led the team in using Nexthink to achieve annual goal in new Proactive Insight program, proactively remediating issues before user raised
  • Top team performer – led the team in achieving goals for new Remote Assistance
  • Migration of all computers on site from a legacy ComDev Active Directory domain to Honeywell domain, along with required remediations to existing
  • ServiceNow – ticketing, tasks, inventory management, creating and monitoring team
  • Supported ComDev AD domain in a live production environment of ~1000
  • AD account creation/disabling; granting access permissions of CGP restricted
